my old auto glass shop used to use it on newer cars or customers who seemed a lot more picky than others. Ultimately depends on how busy the shop is, if we had time, we would use the spider and do a cleaner job. If its busy we bang it out with the extractor and scratch the hell out of the pinch weld but touch up with primer after and cover it up with the moulding... with that being said u should always check the roof line for scratches upon pick up to see if they really touched it up with primer... otherwise, rust..
