99.99% of the S2k ads are fake in the lower mainland. As part of the S2K group, I can tell that there is probably only 2 people that are legitimately trying to sell their S2K. The rest of the ads are most likely fake.

The story goes that some guy wanted to buy an S2K off on of the members, but he had nowhere near enough money and wanted a great deal on it with lowballing offers. Apparently words were exchanged and what not, and that guy has been trolling the Craiglist ads.

Since then, they've been trying to increase the price so much to flood the market that pretty much anyone whos actually serious of getting an s2k will need to sift through all that bullshit before they get through or discourage potential buyers from purchasing. Not to mention flagging any ad that seems legitimate and isnt posted by them.

At this point, its not even about someone trying to get a higher price for their car privately or with ICBC, it takes a seriously disgruntled person to put this much effort in
