In my opinion, it is not a bad job as you mentioned its light and will be clean. Pay wise im not sure but it wont be as much as plumber i believe.

If you do decide to persue this path, the field will branch out to home automation, theatres, low voltage wiring, central vacuums and many more. It is rapidly changing as automation is becoming a huge thing nowadays so there is a lot of potential there and you can take it as far as you want.

I dont advise becoming an electrician at the moment because there are too many right now (you cant even register at bcit anymore) and instead if you want to start a trade i would advise becoming a plumber because of money and demand.
