There's this here, not quite cruise control but would supposedly allow me to maintain throttle with a light grip. For $15, doesn't hurt to try.

Good idea, I have a box full of hand warmers. I doubt I'll need them in July but you never know going through the mountain passes. My coworker gave me heated grips I can try to install before my trip.
I am packing light with no textile anything, just a mesh jacket, riding jeans, rain suit, maybe some sort of warm liner, and dri-fit stuff to wear underneath. So if it does get cold, cold hands will be the least of my worries. But I'm only riding during daylight so it'll very likely be ok.
Airhawk seat is a must, the small displacement CB(R) seats aren't great for long distance trips. Seller is including a wind screen and a ginormous tank bag.
