There are many shops that exchange $$$ and the rates aren't too bad.
If you plan on going to the malls or outlets, they do take credit card as well.

Couple of weeks. I figured the cash will be used for food and transportation and small purchases. Anything big can go on credit card.
I was thinking of bringing $15K HKD.
