I think age is the big factor here. He's 39 and we all see huge drop offs in ability in athletes at that age. His lack of strength is a huge issue and I think he's lucky he got passed Masvidal last night. But would have got the choke 2 years ago.
Woodley is going to put his head in the bleachers. No way Maia is strong enough to finish a submission. He may get him on the ground but he won't be able to get the finish, and since every fight starts standing, woodley only needs one punch to end it in the later rounds
Pretty safe betting against any fighter over 35 these days. Especially ones with some miles on them and double if their opponents are in their 20s.
