Not sure if anyone noticed, but for some reason, Chevron 94 was really good back in March /April. I was getting my tuner to redo a 94+methanol tune and I was able to run about the same boost/timing as on my 94 + 20% E85 tune.
Now it seems Chev 94 is back to its usual crappy self. My last full tank had pretty bad knock in the upper boost/timing ranges. I tried 2 half tanks from different stations in Vancouver and Richmond and both had the same negative results.
