thinking of selling the gtx 970 I bought from ramon earlier this year and getting a GTX 1080 for $650 , should I buy something else or is it okay
I'm using a GTX 1080 on a 27" 1440p monitor and most triple A titles at ultra settings won't run up to 144 fps for 144hz to make it worth while. I had to lower the settings a bit to find a good fps to fully use 144hz display.

Most video cards can't push consistent action sequences at 144fps on ultra @ 1080p, so manage your gaming quality expectations.
