Oak between 4th and broadway is probably the worst on a fixed gear but the feeling you get after you climb that short hill is freakin' awesome. The very worst part is having to stop for stop signs and the amount of traffic that goes up and down along that street is stupidly insane. I dunno why people choose those small streets to try and cut through traffic.
Good on you for not getting off your bike to push.

Will give that a try next time I'm doing some climbs.
I drive down that hill everyday and I can't even imagine biking up it. It's so steep my legs would hate me by the end of it LOL. Will definitely give it a try when I feel like I've built up my legs enough :P.
Finished the RaphaRising on strava challenge tonight after a couple laps around the stanley loop w/ the prospect point climb. I'm hoping I can do that climb < 4:30, currently at a 5:35 PR.
