I thought of actually just getting a double sided male snap to attach the 2 female snaps on the waist adjustment together which will fit better without having to modify the jacket (hope that makes sense?). Passed by a few today as I was doing other errands in some malls, but when they heard motorcycle jacket they said it's too heavy duty for them to touch lol.

Yeah it's difficult. In my NYC factory we use a hole punch tool with a sledge through a wooden block then install snaps into the holes with a 70lb+ cast iron monstrosity. You could do it yourself but the tooling isn't cheap. Maybe try upholstery shops or even a saddle-repair type place.
