forgot to ask,

How much do you guys recommend bringing over? I'm your typical foodie/party goer (alcoholic ..?). Don't think I'm gonna spend much on souvenirs or clothing, but I've been told otherwise.
I mean a ferry trip over to Macau is already $30 to and back. Ocean Park is already $70-90.

I was thinking 2000 CAD for Hong Kong and 500 CAD for Taiwan.

Nov 4 is when I arrive. Going to Taiwan 13-17.
