If you have an Apple TV or Chromecast or Google Home or Amazon Alexa - the app will show on your main TV. It's pretty damn cool. Will also alert you via Google Home/Amazon Echo if you have one of the little in-home speakers.
And I have my phone with me 99% of the time - how else do you browse RS while on the throne?
