You didn't mention how long you were going for? I assume July/Aug means 2 full months? If so, it's doable but barely enough time to do all on your list IMO. You'll probably need to fly around a lot but lucky for you there are a multitude of cheap budget airlines to choose from.

I don't think your visa worries are going to be an issue. Unless things have changed drastically since 2011 when I did this, no one really scrutinizes you about onward travel proof. In which case, your ticket out of BKK or SIN would be sufficient for Mr. Immigration official.

Another non-issue: You get 30 days on arrival in Thailand, and you'll get another 30 days if you re-enter the country again, which you will be doing.
