The XIces are good for Vancouver since they've got a treadlife warranty that's great for our warmer climate. Not that great in deep snow though.
The WS80 are good, but are experience widespread early wear issues in Toronto. Would suggest the Nokian Hakkapeliittas instead if you want the absolute best winter tire, or the WinterContact SI for a good all rounder.
