Unless you know what the profit margins are for restaurants, you don't know what food should cost. Food in most restaurants should cost 1.5x what it costs, tipping shouldn't exist, and mid level workers should be paid appropriately as a result.
If the food sucks for the cost, then yeah, its overpriced, but if its good food at a good restaurant, thats just the cost of it. Deal with it, or learn to cook and eat at home. Hell, I'll even teach you the basics if you want, but thats not going to be free either.

I’ll never complain about the cost but I will about the “value” of a meal
IE. we were going to jersey boys at the QE and had to try and have a quick dinner before hand nearby, ended up at moxies on Georgia (yea I know it’s moxies)
I got the chicken club sandwich and wifey had an appy, we both had a drink. The service was terrible, wifes wine glass had lipstick all over it. Food was bad, and he bill comes, $84 with a tip.
I leave more disappointed with experiences like this than anything just because there were better options. It’s just human nature but I’ll brood over the $30 high buy of a t shirt I’ll never wear over losing $300 at the casino
