well, you're better off without them anyways, move on and put a stronger foot forward next time. like, don't let the conversation go on too long before asking the person out for like a lunch or coffee or something. that will show that you have a bit of courage and balls rather than playing text tennis.
Did exactly that, trying to keep the conversation from dragging out by asking a few honest questions, offered to meet for coffee after maybe half a dozen back and forths, cuts things off without warning. Before I kept from being so forward, it led to boring-ass exchanges before losing interest.

I can't win.
