^ long range shooting is a whole other shooting discipline that has many factors to consider, but the biggest two are: you generally need a lot of money to 'do it right', and there are as many opinions as there are shooters.

Most people that get into that discipline also reload, using top end gear for accuracy.

Can it be done 'cheaper', yes, of course. But if you want to get serious and are asking other long range shooters for help, they have a bit of a pay to play attitude, where the rifles often cost over thousands if not over $10k, plus high end glass starts at $3k and up.

If you are on CGN, they have a long range shooting sub-forum and there are many there that can answer any questions you may have. There are a plethara of acronyms to learn, and lots to read on ballistics, scope dope, and then rifles themselves. Personally, I have neither the money nor the time to get into that sport and to 'do it right'.
