That's when I stopped watching it. Even though I already knew it would be a gong show, it was worse than I had even expected.

I've been a Roseanne fan for 30 years now probably, but she has gone insane with the Trump stuff. Not just the typical "Trump supporter" which is fine, but we're talking crazy conspiracy theories Alex Jones would barely touch.

She's a crazy lady now, and that's sad because the reboot was truly hilarious, and I thought did a good job of showing how people can be ignorant Trump supporters, but still be pretty decent people. But nope, all down the drain, and all the great actors on that show are out of work.
He is pointing out that the tolerant, forgiving Left has all but disappeared in mainstream society. It has been replaced by the intolerant Left, which is quick to destroy and shun anyone they disagree with including anyone associated with them. They will often devolve into their identity politics to the point of "eating their own. The Right is not innocent of this behaviour either, but when have they ever been known for tolerance and forgiveness? He is not excusing or attempting to blame the Left for Roseanne's actions. Your inability to even hear him out, is further evidence to his point.

The point of complaining about how people focused on the ape part of the tweet, is that if Roseanne truly meant to compare her to an ape, and all the racial connotations that come with it, she would have said: "muslim brotherhood and ape had a baby".

Now if you could take a moment to look at all the side by side photos of Valerie Jarrett to Helena Bonham Carter's Ari from Planet of the Apes. Perhaps this is where the comparison was made, with human-acted ape-like characters, rather than with apes themselves ? Perhaps this is akin to white people dressing up as black people for Halloween and not understanding the connection to racial black face and why it is offensive? Is that not a teachable moment to which the Left was so adept at?

Yes she made a really bad joke here, one which she apologized for. It is impossible to say for certain what her true intentions were behind her tweet. The only way to tell is by her actions going forward, to see if she has learned from this experience. Unfortunately, society is progressing to where punishment is immediate, and second chances are not given.
