What's obvious to me is that if the rest of the Western World is willing to work together and stand firm against the Trump bully, the US will very quickly learn to back off. But whether that can happen is somewhat uncertain.

The EU is on the brink of collapse (and have been degrading to this point for some time). They are not going to be standing firm to anything, IMO.
And again, if the trade arrangements haven't been fair thus far,i don't think it's fair to say Trump is being a bully with his policy.
And
nobody in the media or otherwise has provided any data to prove otherwise.
I mean, how easy would it be for Trudeau or anyone in the media to say "no, President Trump, you're wrong. And here is the data to show how fair the trade policies have been". That's all they'd need to do to shut down this argument.
Rather than headlines about tweets, how trade wars are bad, and back and forth comments.
