Ex-big SW fan here until life got in the way. Finally watched the movie on BluRay last night.

(And I still haven't watched Solo yet...

)
For the most part, I didn't really enjoy the movie. As a matter of fact, I rarely found myself immersed in it at all, whereas with the Force Awakens and Rogue One, I found those to be really capivating even despite their flaws. Would at most give the Last Jedi a 6/10, and parts of the movie was really quite boring.
For me, the best part of the movie was the Luke - Kylo Ren flashbacks as well as the Yoda - Luke scene. I found both to be very meaningful, and their relevance fitted well to the greater SW universe. I also generally found all the parts involving Luke to be well done, and I dont particularly favour Luke in any way at all.
For the whole time, I was expecting DJ to reveal himself as the specific codebreaker they were looking for. It wouldn't have hurt Disney to do that, and I think it would have worked out quite naturally as part of the plot too.
Everyone already mentioned the casino arc was unnecessary. IMO, it could have been condensed into 2 to 3 chunks that didn't involve anything nearly as grand, and still got the plot they needed. It would also have shortened the movie into a far more reasonable length.
A very interesting bit that captured my attention was how a child Force-grabbed a broom. Then again, visions of the child Anakin Skywalker immediately came up in my mind, and OMG that was quite a disaster...
