This is what is perplexing to people such as myself who are black.
Why is the word Nigger being used in the first place in a corporate setting on a conference call? Not only that, but numerous times?
I work for the largest financial firm in Canada, to even think about using a racist noun such as nigger, chink, wetback, you name it, on a conference call would be absolute blasphemy within my company. I would be gone the next day, and I would expect as much.
And you wonder by black folks are paranoid about what some white people may say behind closed doors, at the highest levels in some of these companies.
The real question is, how was he awarded the freedom in his mind to be so comfortable about using such words in a corporate setting? Clearly such words and views are quite acceptable around his "circle" of people. If anything it gives more credence to the fact that abject racism and white supremacy is alive and well in some of the highest echelons of not only government, but corporate America. This is something we already know, and has seem examples of time and time again.
But no of course he's not a racist, it was just taken out of context!
