As the head of state, Trump should have been more aware of proper protocol and manners than anyone else. You can forgive a backwaters farmer in the countryside to not know how to properly address the Queen if she chooses to visit him. But for Trump to not have been briefed on what he should have done, and how he should have acted? Yeah right.
And just to add, I'm pretty certain it is a super rare incident for
*anyone* to walk in front of the Queen in a formal setting where formal royal protocol is required. Contrary to your belief, it has
NOT happened a million times.

And how is the Queen not authority in the UK? If you think otherwise, you'd do well to review the history books of how the Queen Mother (ie. the first Queen Elizabeth) boosted morale during WW2 by refusing to leave Buckingham Palace during the Blitz.
