I love/hate that RS has my life on it. It makes an okay journal, but it also makes me feel old because I've been a member for almost half my life. It looks like you asked me this question, previously:

Now, I'm 2 months from 40, and she is a month away from 30 (Which, I try to never remind her).

I know how you met her because you were her mom's co-worker and you were just kind enough to go over to her house to help a c-lai out
its such a romantic story; one of my favorites here, but i don't remember what the age gap was. and i'm too lazy to go through the thread looking

also, how did mom feel about this?
did she feel like maybe you were too old for her daughter?
did she bring up the fact that you two are at different stages of life? and how shes still a child and will have a different mindset when she is your age?
Her mom and her family didn't like the idea of the age gap. There was no discussion with the mother, but there was suspicions of what we were up to. The situation worked itself out after we got engaged, and they knew I wasn't going anywhere. Since I'm kind of immature, the age gap worked out for us. We also discussed long-term future plans, and decided our goals lined up to team up until the end.
