Rebled the brakes one more time after all the track days; pedal feel is now back to oem finally. Initial 1” of push is always shit on the focus. But after initial bite it’s great. About 5mm pad life left, more than enough for fall/winter/spring but definitely new pads and rotors all around before any track days next year
We also installed a new Depo Racing 3” catless downpipe. On my focus ST it was about an hour job; I had it down to a science. But the RS runs a different turbo and it’s not v-band clamp. It also has the PTU and driveshaft in the way.

It was nothing but a fucking hassle. Everything is hidden under the cowel. The shop manual suggests you drop the centre diff, now I can see why. We didn’t because you don’t
have to. Remove the entire intake assembly, remove the battery and battery tray. The turbo flange is not visible. It’s the kind of job where you have to use 4 extensions and 2 universal joints.
After about 6hrs work, it was done! Aaaaaand leaks. Doesn’t sound too bad from the outside, sounds like I have a wastegate screamer pipe. But it’s not the sound I want, and I don’t want exhaust gasses leaking out and hurting any surrounding components.
Sounds like the old powerstroke 7.3’s under 3000rpm tho. Finally sounds like what it should have from the factory. (Aside from obvious leaking)
