You need a US number to activate I believe. It is a one time activation - get the activation code via text message (I used my buddy's number who lives in the states). Getting the app should be easy. You can PM me if you need help getting it. FYI: recommend shipping purchases from sknrs to Blaine - I use 24/7 Parcel. Also, pay with paypal to avoid shipping address =/= billing address. Even after conversion, all in cost should be a bit lower than getting it locally. However, you have to spend time crossing the border to pick it up. I don't mind it as I live pretty close and I do it at night to avoid lineups. I also time it so that I fill up my tank at Blaine and/or go for Trader Joe run. Oh! get a no foreign transaction fee credit card, like the Home Trust Visa, to help save on fx fees.
