As long as you are considerate of your employees given the professional setting you are fine.

As for your mgmt team, they need to learn to call a spade a spade and it's ok to debate as long as it's respectful and you aren't making personal attacks.

If mgmt team cannot be transparent with respect, make its time to look at installing an advisory board as an objective third party.
