There is nothing right about giving out a VI to anyone who doesn’t deserve one regardless of what they drive. I’m sure EVERYBODY would agree that one could put the $200-$300 inspection fee to better use.
If this story can be executed correctly, it is not going to matter who the face of it is, or what they drive. It will expose a huge lack of ethics/professionalism with the current VI ticketing process.

That is true. And i did think about the general landscape of vehicles i notice now whenever I'm in Vancouver.
But let's be honest, a maserati probably won't draw as much sympathy as something like a stock Corolla.
That's not to say either is more or less deserving of an unwarranted vi, of course.
It's just optics.
