It is a very easy game to learn and play. Once both players know how to count their cards properly, a game can be over in under 10 minutes. You don't need the board, you can keep score with a pen and paper, but the board is nicer to use as you watch your opponent and attracts others' attention if they wish to play. You can also play 4 person cribbage and the games go quickly.
Tried to Google some, but only finding expensive ones. I'm sure mine was bought at a travel novelty shop. Mine looks like this, but all leather (or fake leather):
