I personally have the sx pro and I have no complaints, the r4 will allow you to load custom firmware but the extent might just be loading homebrew. But in terms of support sx pro has it covered and they are always making improvements.
Be mindful that the newer switches are patched so the jig plus USB c payload will no longer work.
