I have worked in a few unionized positions, both full and part time, and as mentioned the divisive nature created sucks. Every union job I worked had some of the most unhappy and grumbly workers I have ever seen, you walk through the door and it's a constant bitch fest about management this, the union's gonna make them do that, etc.
I'll have to pick that book up, seems interesting.
