Seems incorrect to stuff a decibal reader inside the pipe. Isnt the whole point of have an exhaust sound ceiling due to bystander safety. Doubt a typical bystander would have their ears inside a tailpipe. Especially if those around are all in a vehicle of their own.

Should have recorded him taking the measurement for documentation purposes since he seems to be "training" others. If he cant do a standard procedure himself, what gives him the professionalism and rights to teach others? But i guess it might be hard to record if you are the only person in the vehicle, since recording and reving at the same time may be impossible.
