I'd rather buy used to be honest. Unless you buy a new property you're using used appliances anyway. I'd buy pre-2000 units with a top load washer.

Maytag sells a commercial grade residential top load washer. They have a matching dryer as well. Set looks to be close to $3,000 though if new is your thing.
