IMO TSM is great. Maybe a bit on the high side as far as price goes making getting into it right now unattractive because of the low ROI.

But a great company overall. It has a virtual monopoly in the 7nm production and its market dominance in both market share and technical know-how puts the company in a great spot. I mean chip consumption is going no where but up given our reliance in tech nowadays.

Full disclosure: Yes, as I said before, I have a long position in TSM. But have no near future plan of unloading given the long term outlook of the company.
Does that include Samsung? I believe they are the other foundry that is on 7nm. Even Global Foundries dropped out of the nm race and is focusing on ~25nm chips. IMO even though phone sales are dropping like a rock, there will still be demand for the fabs even if it's not the newest process.

I used to own TSM too They are a great company for the long position.
