Disputing an actual violation ticket is no more costly than the time required to show up at your assigned court date/appointment and presenting your evidence.
It sounds like this is a freebie for you, no way the judge is going to impose that fine with the CVSE regulations backing you up and him not even quoting the right part of the manual.
