You’re thinking too much in today’s terms tho... it wasn’t ridiculous back then. Bentley’s were pieces of shit back then by today’s standard too, same as the Chrysler.

1979 Bentley Corniche is not more luxurious than the New Yorker despite costing 10 times as much originally... and way way way less reliable. Just more exclusive I suppose.... maybe a tad more pinache/elegance.
