Also horseradish and wasabi are not even close to being the same. I've only had real (pure) wasabi a handful of times. What most people get at restaurants is the powdered mix. Mix as in a mix of mustards, horseradish, food colouring, etc.
Depending on the mood I'm in, I have my sashimi with Keen's Hot Mustard and more often than not, freshly grated ginger. Not the stringy kind. Yes, there are various types of ginger, too. Still pure wasabi grated from the root is second to none. Hard to get and expensive.
