Plus, party with largest number of seats gets the chance to form government first. They could of course, defeat the minority on a confidence motion but then, Governor General could call election or offer the 'coalition' to form government. Don't think it has ever been done on the National level, has it?

In some ridings the NDP and Liberals are close. Some people are afraid if they vote NDP and the Liberals lose in that ridding it will help the cons.
