A few weeks ago I picked up a new winter beater BMW X5 for $850 on Kijiji. It was in great running condition (only needed a thermostat, easy DIY) but needed a few cosmetic things sorted and some general maintenance. I've been picking away at it for the last few weekends when I had a bit of spare time. I was looking for a set of 19" wheels to run winter tires on (I already had a set of 19" winter tires that would fit the X5).
Just to close the loop on something from this thread a while back.

I'm the broke skid fuck that picked up the wheels from Bic_Baws. HUGE thank you to Bic_Baws for giving them to a fellow RS'er. I took them to Alloy Wheel Repair in Richmond and paid them to weld the crack and straighten the dents. Then a bit of sanding to tidy up the worst of the curb rash and a couple of coats of silver wheel paint and here's my X5, looking good (well, as good as an e53 X5 can look...) with a set of VMR V703 winter wheels.
