Anyways I thought the movie was about an hour too long as well and the makeup/digital effects weren't as great as people are saying. I mean ffs, Bobby D's character is supposed to be in his mid-20s/early 30s during his first scenes with Joe Pesci....no fucking way

With you 100%. I liked the historical aspect of it, but it did NOT need to be as long as it was. Goodfellas and Casino were just as long (IIRC) but were better paced than this.
The CG masks were distracting at times, especially during more physical scenes, where you have a guy moving like a senior citizen but with the face of a man in his 30's
