Also keep in mind, if you are a BCAA member, you get more discount, I think you will save about 10-20%. On their website, it says up to 20% discount.

In my case, I saved $150 for being a BCAA member. It will be worth it even if you can save $120 since the BCAA plus membership is $115 a year, that means you are getting the free tows and other benefits for free.

edit: get a quote from both ICBC and BCAA while keeping the variables the same, see how much you'd save.
It depends on the vehicle. My BMW was substantially more with private than ICBC, but my Honda was cheaper with private.
