Thanks for the insight bcrdukes and bomber. I've never had an issue with ICBC but with as big of a difference I was quoted it made me want to do some research
The horror stories I heard were similar to what the two of you commented above regarding the towing. I've also heard of the companies choosing what shop you take your car to for repairs then having the job done poorly. I will go through the two option's policies. I have a month to decide.
The reason I asked for first hand experiences is because google I find to not be very reliable. As you mentioned, some people get into an accident then when the world is against them they cry wolf. This seems to be the only time people leave reviews for insurance companies. There are few positive stories from a quick google (post-claims)
