On a tuned car you could be looking at the button doing a lot more such as switching between maps, removing top speed limiter, etc.

All my sport mode does is increase the fake induction noise coming through the speakers, make my steering hercules heavy, and hold the revs stupidly high. Definitely not comfortable to be using anywhere in the city
