Glad to see Jeremy Schaab, Jeremy Schaab, GM Porsche Vancouver, interviewed, too - but we just heard from him that there was one important point he made that didn’t make the interview, educating sports car owners on their rights when stopped on the roadside. Here it is:
"I understand that some officers put their dB Meter right against or inside the tailpipe. This is not accurate and generates a dB rating 20% higher than the law. Officers must place their dB meter 3M behind at a 45 deg angle from the tailpipe and the engine is to be revved to 3500rpm."
I’m so glad to see the news covering this and Jer as a GM standing up for us too!
Wish they touched on a little more, but at least it’s a start
Now if only they could touch on the vindictive nature from Constable Cain and his vendetta against car enthusiasts, or the fact a STOCK press car belonging to a luxury manufacturer’s fleet was deemed too loud and given a vi + excessive noise ticket
