I believe your thoughts about Shinsuke basically being retired rings true to AJ, except that AJ doesn't have to work as many live events.
AJ doesn't need Taker to go over, but it does add to his own storied career.
Let see how the promos go, again, its been a while since we had a serious AJ promo
