I think I posted this thought already, but this virus will introduce a paradigm shift that was going to occur naturally, only it will speed it up. Working from home and "home office" is going to be a much more common thing after this.
This is kind of a test run, companies like yours will find out of these people are as productive from home as they were at work. If so, there's really no reason for them to commute all the way there, and they can downsize in many ways, leading to more efficiency as well as safety. I know some people find it hard to self motivate and be productive unless they have some form of direct incentive, so it will be an adjustment. Guess we'll find out!
It might sound ridiculous but I think VR is going to be mainstream eventually, as it gets cheaper and easier to do properly and comfortably.
