This has to do with the fact that really, nobody knows what the appropriate course of action is, as this is an unprecedented worldwide event in our lifetimes. You have absolutely no idea what the appropriate course of action is. Neither do I. If you want to know how to butcher a pig, I'll show you. If I want to know how to change my hedgasket, I'll ask you. But neither of us have a fucking clue what the appropriate measures are for this situation, because besides the medical implications, there are MASSIVE financial implications as well that could cause more harm long term than even this disease if things get under control.
