From someone who's been through initial month long isolation in Shanghai China, my best advice aside from the obvious social isolation, wash your hands, don't touch your face etc. etc. is:

1. leave your shoes OUTSIDE
2. STOCK UP ON NO PERISHABLE/FROZEN VEG AND FRUITS!!!!!! during the first 2 weeks of lockdown, fresh vegetable were literally impossible to buy. I had to visit 3-4 groceries stores before any were in stock. When I did find any, it was slim pickings and all were on the brink of expiring. Meat was relatively easy to find.
3. don't hoard toilet paper, for a family of 3 and a neighbor that literally stayed over everyday, we only went through maybe 1 24pack in the month?
4. if you decide to hoard anything, hoard alcohol. Me and my neighbor went through 18 bottles of whiskey and 11 bottle of wine in a month hahahahaha
5. buy one of those half face respirators with the appropriate filters for virus/bacteria/smog, JUST IN CASE for backup purposes if it gets really serious and you can't get n95 masks.
6. n95 masks and surgical masks are not meant to be reused. Unless you are very careful on where you touch on the the mask, reusing it literally defeats the purpose of wearing one.

Also not sure why everyone in western media is saying stay 1-2 meters apart. The news here was the virus can be carried up to 8 meters in the air.
