I doubt it, this is far too indirect a thing for people to put 2 and 2 together. 20 children got murdered at Sandy Hook* and nothing changed so I doubt this will do anything when a good chunk of the US is either ignoring this or trying to pray it away.
*I don't want to derail the thread so go dig up that one if you want to talk about SH, it was just the first example I thought of.
