That's $1200 per adult, plus $500 per child.
In a household of two parents plus one child, That's almost $3k.
It can cover the necessities.
A blanket payment is meant for accessibility and speed.
The more regulations and processing there is, the longer it takes to get to people's hands.
The sacrifice is, some people are not going to get as much as they would have with a more regulated system, and some may get more.
