We have another update from the Pitt Meadows Airport Society about the status of the pad and new lease holders. Here is the message from Ashley Hilland:

Hi Andrew,
I received confirmation today that the lease for Apron 4 North is being finalized and executed today, and will come into effect May 1st. In light of this, and the ongoing COVID-19 situation prohibiting group functions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all remaining external site rentals, effective immediately. Those clients who have prepaid will be refunded in full. BCEHS has indicated they will entertain future site rentals when it is safe to do so and they have a structure in place to accommodate them. I ask that you please notify all clients of this decision as soon as possible.


I want to extend a very heartfelt thank you from myself and all the staff at YPK for your hard work over the years. It has been a pleasure working with you and we wish you continued success as we move forward. With your permission, I’d like to provide your details to my contact at BCEHS with the recommendation they establish a working relationship similar to ours when they are ready to open the site to external clients.

So for now our remaining autox events have been canceled. We'll make contact with the BC Emergency Health Services group and see how to move forward with future pad rentals from them. We'll update you when we know more. Stay safe.
